With Version 8, PhotoImpact has brought to its’ users the ellusive, but much needed “curves” feature, as found in that *other* very high priced image editor. Professional graphic artists and photographers alike will tell you that of all features an image editor has, the “curve” feature is one of the most valuable and widely (commonly) used, because of its ability to simultaneously adjust intricate samples of the contrast and saturation levels in any part of an image, to yield some amazing effects, as you can see from the image above, which is a screen shot of PI8’s new and improved “Tone Map” filter (Format:Tone Map).
